Wolves have paid a heartfelt tribute to Diogo Jota, honouring his legacy after his tragic passing.

Diogo Jota tragically lost his life at 28 in a car accident, sending shockwaves through the football world.

For Wolves, it was a personal loss — Jota had played a key role in the club’s recent rise, and his time at Molineux left a lasting impression.

He joined Wolves in 2017 and quickly became a fan favourite, helping the team secure promotion and thrive in the Premier League.

His energy, work ethic, and eye for goal made him a standout during a defining era for the club.

In tribute, Wolves honoured Jota by inducting him into their Hall of Fame — a recognition of both his contributions on the pitch and the connection he built with the club and its supporters.

It was a simple, meaningful gesture to celebrate a player who gave everything in gold.

Jota joined Wolves in 2017 on loan from Atlético Madrid and played a central role in the club’s promotion to the Premier League, scoring 17 goals in his first season.

After making the move permanent, he continued to impress in the top flight with his sharp movement, pressing, and ability to produce in big moments.

Across three seasons at Molineux, he scored 44 goals and helped Wolves to back-to-back 7th-place finishes, along with a Europa League quarter-final run.

He scored on his league debut and quickly became a key part of Klopp’s attack, valued for his versatility and consistency.

During his five seasons with Liverpool, he scored over 65 goals in 182 appearances and lifted major honours: FA Cup, two League Cups, and most notably, Liverpool’s historic 20th Premier League title in the 2024–25 season.

At international level, Jota earned 49 caps for Portugal and played a part in their UEFA Nations League triumphs in 2019 and again in 2025 — the latter being his final match before his tragic death.
